TRIPLER ARMY MEDICAL CENTRE
Central Plant Retrofit
Engineer of record and commissioning agent for retrofit and complete controls upgrade to an existing 2,820 ton central plant. Two 900 ton chillers were removed and replaced and all of the DDC was retrofitted
With the DDC retrofit, the existing points and controllers were identified as being changed and a new sequence of operation was provided that optimized this plant for optimum energy usage.
This project was very interesting because the large energy optimization component put a great deal of emphasis on the sequence of operations. Commissioning was performed to the UFGS Specification 23 08 00.00 10 "Commissioning" for the Army Corps of engineers.
